Links our delivery system of care/health centers to a broad range of health education and screening programs that help manage and prevent chronic disease and provide early disease detection and wellness. Responsible for overseeing Holy Cross Health’s community benefit program; identifying community needs, developing and monitoring a plan responsive to those needs, reporting community benefit activity, and serving as an internal and external expert resource regarding community benefit. Also ensures Holy Cross Health’s community benefit program is aligned with community needs and priorities and helps to advance the mission of Holy Cross Health. This role also guides development and evaluation of Holy Cross Community Health programs and identifies and secures external sources of funding to support them.

Responsible for overseeing Holy Cross Health’s community benefit program, identifies community needs by conducting a community health needs assessment every three years, and develops and monitors an implementation plan responsive to those needs. Reports community benefit activity to Trinity Health, the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission, and the IRS and serves as Holy Cross Health's internal and external expert resource regarding community benefit; ensuring Holy Cross Health’s community benefit program is aligned with community needs and priorities and helps to advance the mission of Holy Cross Health.

Manages a range of hospital-wide community benefit activities including programmatic oversight in planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, evaluating, reporting and improving community benefit programs and obtaining and managing grants throughout Holy Cross to improve health status of our communities in a measurable way. Provides and oversees data collection, analysis and reporting of hospital-wide community benefit activities in accordance with reporting requirements of the hospital, Trinity Health, the state and the federal government. Manages personnel related to grant procurement. Serves as liaison for various hospital departments as well as Community Health and Community Care Delivery and identified public health programs. Develops and nurtures strategic, collaborative community benefit initiatives.

Provides programmatic oversight in planning, developing, coordinating, evaluating, reporting and improving community benefit programs throughout Holy Cross Hospital Provides and oversees data collection, analysis and reporting of hospital-wide community benefit activities in accordance with reporting requirements of the hospital, Trinity Health, the state and federal government. Serves as program liaison for chronic disease and identified public health programs. Assists the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and the Vice President, Community Health in bridging community-based health education and promotion programs and community care delivery and in linking community-based programs to the hospital discharge planning process.
