ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES: • Conduct a group Career Services meeting with all potential graduates once each module to provide an overview of career services offered, provide information, and obtain career services documents. • Meet with all potential graduates individually prior to graduation to discuss a job search strategy and to conduct a mock interview. • Review resumes that students prepare in class to ensure quality and appropriateness to program. • Assist instructors with mock interviews. • Attend and participate in all new student orientation sessions. • Conduct a Graduate Clearance meeting once per module with all graduates.• Conducting an externship meeting with students going out on externship in the module prior to the externship.• Responsible for identifying eligible students to go out on externship in the following module.• Identifying an externship site for each student and notifying the student in writing.• Actively contact employers to develop a working relationship and to identify current employment openings and externship opportunities.• Select and refer appropriately qualified students to available job orders.• Track student progress throughout the course of the externship including obtaining regular attendance reports and making site visits each module.
