As Community Engagement Manager, Kim brings nearly twenty years of experience working with and within Chicago’s non-profit community. From her roots at Friends of the Chicago River leading a volunteer-based canoe program to redeveloping Exelon’s grant system, reducing administrative burden for grant-seekers and makers alike while strengthening impact measurement, Kim’s evolving roles center on a passion for Vincentian servant-leadership.Her service includes cross-sector collaboration for a regional economic benefit study, organizational strategic planning, full life-cycle event management, and funding development. Inspiring the why and providing the how to connect colleagues with causes they care about fuels her and powers communities, beyond the grid. Kim received her MS in Leadership and Policy Studies from DePaul University and BA in Public and Interpersonal Communication from the University of Akron, Ohio before becoming a proud wife and mom to three daughters. Currently, she serves as a catechist in Chicago’s historic Old St. Patrick’s Church and volunteers at PAWS Chicago Medical Center with her daughter.
