Senior Director, Strategic Hotel Relations
Responsible for a budget of over $140million in supplier revenue and setting strategy for supplier and client travel. I lead a team of account owners who build relationships and negotiate agreements with airline, hotel and other suppliers in the travel arena for BCD Travel, the 3rd largest Travel Management Company in the world. In addition, my team is responsible for the Global Hotel Program, soliciting hotels from around the world to participate in the "consortia" program with over a $5million budget. The BCD Global Hotel Program currently has over 40,000 hotels in the portfolio. As part of Supplier Relations for BCD Travel, we are constantly looking for areas of improvement to assist in training the field, growing revenue and shifting market share in order to continually meet and exceed the expectations of our supplier partners and our budget. Involved in setting strategy and developing tools to centralize content from on-line travel providers as well as GDS in agent facing and client facing (on-line and mobile) environments. Responsible for leading a team that develops and negotiates supplier programs, driving optimal performance with our preferred partners. Focus on maximizing performance and profitability of programs. Develop and communicate preferred supplier strategy to divisions and establishing a business plan to support internal programs. Work with team leaders and direct reports to develop distribution strategy and consistent messaging for key initiatives.
