As the Chief Program Officer Washington Trails Association, I have the privilege supporting a team of talented program directors, working to ensure we are implementing our strategic plan effectively. I thrive in helping people inside and outside of WTA understand the impact of our work - how hikers are creating a sustainable future for recreation and a welcoming community where everyone can easily access the benefits of time in nature. In my previous experience as communications director at WTA, I oversaw the organization's brand and messaging strategies to help educate and engage hikers in protecting trails for future generations. During my 17-year tenure with WTA, I've helped the organization more than quadruple in size while refining its mission and vision. I believe that communication and collaboration are the keys to every great movement and love using my skills to make the world a little better. You can often find me wandering the woods, or kayaking, taking time to appreciate the little curiosities on mushrooms, tide pools and pika.
