As an elementary teacher I have been facilitating learning in both art and STEM classrooms for over 12 years. I am passionate about the intersection of art and design, technology, as well as the outdoors! I hold a bachelor’s degree in art teacher education and a number of digital certifications including Google Education, Apple Educators, and FEMA Emergency training..In my current role, I teach kindergarten through sixth-grade science, technology, engineering, arts, and math in a dynamic classroom where we raise local Colorado rainbow trout, engage in hands-on robotics and computer science, and recently started a school-wide experimental garden. I enjoy creating innovative and engaging learning experiences for my students, and I am always looking for new ways to integrate art and STEM concepts across the curriculum.My diverse skill set allows me to excel in various domains, ensuring a broad approach to problem-solving and innovation which includes many skills that extend beyond the classroom. With many years of experience encompassing customer service, hands-on construction and woodworking, art, design, and digital skills, as well as my seat on a local museum's board of directors, Iove to work with diverse teams to solve any kind of problem.
