Technical Writer And Editor
CurrentIn my role as a Technical Writer and Editor working on the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Infrastructure and Security Exercise Branch contract, I revised and rewrote stakeholder supporting documentation, ensuring clarity and adherence to plain language requirements. I collaborated closely with project leads and subject matter experts throughout the editing process to deliver high-quality materials that met client expectations. My responsibilities included translating complex ideas into accessible content for critical infrastructure sectors and following the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Digital Style Guide and the CISA House Style Guide for consistent communication. I maintained rigorous version control during the editing process using tools like Microsoft Word and SharePoint. Additionally, I co-led the CISA Tabletop Exercises Package (CTEP) Workshop working group, where I developed workshop materials, facilitated sessions, and trained new facilitators. I also contributed to the Virtual Tabletop Exercise (TTX) working group, supporting the migration of documentation to SharePoint and serving as a point of contact for team inquiries. Lastly, I acted as a moulage expert for HSEEP-compliant, operations-based exercises at various high-profile venues.
