Kyle Brandon is Managing Director and Director of Derivatives Policy at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), which brings together the shared interests of hundreds of securities firms, banks and asset managers. In that role, Ms. Brandon leads SIFMA’s swap dealer-focused work streams covering ongoing and emerging policy development and regulatory advocacy, including on Title VII rule making, implementation and compliance issues, as well as addressing Swap Dealer/SBS Dealer business practice issues.Kyle is also a member of the Board of Directors of Women in Derivatives, a nonprofit organization with the core mission to educate, guide, mentor and sponsor the professional development of girls and women in the financial services industry, particularly in the area of derivatives (www.womeninderivatives.org). Before joining SIFMA’s predecessor organization, SIA, in 2004, Ms Brandon was chief financial officer, chief operating officer and co-founder of Orion Capital Advisors, Ltd in Moscow where she co-managed a $200 million portfolio of Russian investment-oriented hedge funds. At Orion, Kyle oversaw the hedge fund management company as well as several private equity portfolio companies. Prior to a number of years in macro and emerging markets at US-based hedge funds, Ms Brandon worked on the dealer side in fixed income and derivatives. Kyle holds a BA in Japan studies from Cornell University and an MA in International Economics from the Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, The Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC.
