The role has also afforded me the opportunity of gaining in depth knowledge of Environmental policy particularly in relation to the Water Framework and associated directives. I have worked with multiple stakeholders both internal and external governmental and non governmental bodies including various European environment agencies and the European Commission. I represented Ireland at European Commission working groups and in Scandinavia and Northern Europe, demonstrating progressive approaches to WFD implementation.
