Led product management and day-to-day technical product ownership resulting in a first-of-its-kind real-time clinical decision support solution leveraging real-time patient data and providing diagnosis-specific clinical guidance at the point of care. Leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, my role spanned hands-on technical product ownership, solution architecture, customer value definition and leadership across the product management, development and test organizations.Developed the solution architecture for a hybrid (on-premise/cloud) solution requiring definition of: • network requirements between on-premise VPN and cloud-based VPN supporting HIPAA compliance as a fully accountable HIPAA Business Associate (BAA)• deployed three-tiered (data, business logic, user-interface), on-premise and cloud architecture• designed data aggregation and normalization of external data sources (ETL) • Defined ReSTful FHIR API interfaces necessary to ensure full interoperability with on-premise clinical systems (EPIC)• Defined client-facing JSON structures and ReST-based APIs to expose knowledge platform capabilities to external application and services developers• presented approved architecture to technical partners (Optum) and hospital system (U Penn and others) technology teamsIn addition, the role included ensuring all functional and performance requirements met the established quality bar. Toolset included Aha! for product management (capacity planning, backlog management/tracking, etc.), Atlassian tools: Jira for bug/ticket tracking/resolution and Confluence for technical requirements authoring/review/approval. The project completed its objectives on time and the solution is now in production. Solution delivered using layered, cloud-based architecture deployed on AWS IaaS leveraging MongoDB.

HarmonIQ Health Systems Corporation is the commercialization of Louisiana State University (LSU) assets that have been directed at population health analytics and deep level clinical pathway and clinical workflow solutions. The combination of products in the HarmonIQ suite targets the Accountable Care Organization (ACO) market evolution. This new reimbursement model now mandated by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will require technologies that are just emerging to address complex clinical models and the analytics that are required to support the point of service (POS) management AND reporting requirements for CMS and ultimately all insurers. CMS ACO Reporting requirements start in 2016 and fully transitioned by 2018-20. The HarmonIQ combination of products is uniquely positioned to address thi transition from the traditional cost plus, fee for service reimbursement model to a pay for performance and quality improvement model. HarmonIQ combines true interoperability products with the deep workflow and analytics solutions developed by LSU Health Services Division over the past 12 years.HarmonIQ will deliver mission critical applications for the healthcare provider, payer, pharmaceutical and financial healthcare sectors. The products will deliver an amalgamation of information and application workflow efficiencies that present critical time-sensitive information to clinicians that support predictable and measurable 10X+ improvements in business efficiency and throughput.

Early member of the team that introduced Microsoft HealthVault. Played a central role in establishing the inpatient health care provider and ambulatory EMR ecosystems. Had primary technical responsibility to engage with our partners to establish the business need, negotiate terms of agreement and see technology deployment through to completion.These engagements required regular C-suite partner engagements (CEO, COO, CIO, CMIO, CNO, etc.) and other senior leadership at partner firms.
