I work under the direction of the Village Manager.Staff liaison to several commissions and committees, including the Community Relations Commission, Public Art Commission and the Green Committee:Prepare and disseminate agenda packets and record meeting minutes.Respond to members and resident inquiries.Manage comprehensive redesign of Village website (www.flossmoor.org). Oversee electric aggregation program and respond to resident inquiries related to utilities.Supervise administrative interns/horticultural workers.Prepare and present annual Administrative, Legislative, Legal, and Public Art Program operational budgets, which include mid-year forecasting expenditures, revenues and capital improvement plan.Serve as the chairperson of the Village’s Information Technology Committee, as well as administrator for all village-wide technology special projects and services, such as the Village’s digital phone system and computer system infrastructure. Project manager for the codification of the Village’s fifty-year-old municipal code involving analysis of legal, local and state statutes. Developed and coordinated the messaging and educational materials for two successful Village referendums, both passing with 80 percent or more of the vote. Handle both resident and media inquires, along with producing all of the village communications materials for the newsletter, website and social media. Sustain effective relationships with local governments, business and non-profits agencies to facilitate Village business.

Supervised 12 union and 10 non-union employees, along with hiring and training seasonal employees. Served as staff liaison to Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency (IRMA) Public Works Steering Committee. Active participant in strategic planning process. Developed the Department annual training program as well as implemented new work order system. Manage contracts, including sidewalk replacement and facility maintenance programs. Wrote the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Transportation Enhancement Grant for $400,000 to improve pedestrian safety near commuter railroad, which was awarded to the Village. Secured $50,000 in grant funding from United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Monitored businesses that received Community Development Block Grant funding to create employment for low-income residents of Rockford. •Served on the Rockford’s Redevelopment Committee for redevelopment of abandoned buildings. •Performed a needs assessment on the Downtown Façade Program.•Coordinated and developed 2003 Annual TIF (Tax Increment Financing) report.•Member of the Review Committee recommending $1.9 million in projects for TIF assistance.

•Staff liaison to Commission for Suburban O’Hare Airport Projects. •Assist residents in the process of selling their home to the Village as part of the O’Hare Expansion Project.
