Machine design with a focus on nut runners and presses for the automotive industry.

I design and engineer Wheel and Tire automation equipment for Tier I suppliers and OEM's. I also work closely with the Shop and Controls to resolve any design issues that may arise during a project. My primary CAD program is Solidworks, which I use to design parts and assemblies.

Responsibilities include taking 3d digital geometry and breaking it down into developable patterns. After the initial pattern is produced I verify overlaps and work with composite laminators and those refining and assembling the parts in order to optimize the pattern. Once the patterns are set, I nest them and create a cut file for our ply-cutters, which I will operate on occasion.Additionally, I set up BOM's, part numbers and help organize production for the cutting room. I also create drawings when necessary to aid in sorting and laminating material as well as other aspects of a project.I also create 3d models using Rhino 4 for parts and models.

I performed a variety of tasks including 3d modeling, rendering, drafting, construction documents and design. Software I used included Autocad, Rhino, V-Ray, Adobe Design Creative Suites (PS, AI, INDD)

Working as a technician on behalf of architecture faculty and students at the University of Michigan. Equipment that I operate includes Onsrud CNC Bridge Router, FlowJet WaterJet Cutter, Zcorp 403 / 310 plaster printers and Dimensions ABS printers. In addition, I also am assisting in developing a new website and am capable of operating the KUKA KR90LHA 7-axis robot.
