I’m a veteran, transitioned to the private sector in October 2023. I’m currently looking for opportunities in WA State. I am very interested in working in the outdoors.But, before I tell you about what I want to do, let me tell you why I do it. I work for my people, so they appreciate the value of putting others first.In any organization that I have been a part of, I have worked hard to focus on the people that I lead or mentor. I find humility in working with and for others. And in spite of the fact that there is no “reward” for when others become humble leaders themselves, I am grateful when I see this development in others.I like to be clear and to the point regarding the situation or plan and always maintain accountability for my actions.My teammates know me to be a thoughtful leader that works to understand the situation, the people involved and other internal and external factors. Once I have time to assess, then I can effectively guide the team.I am comfortable sharing my views with others. In fact, once my opinion is formed, I prefer to share it with those on my team.My integrity compels me to present the facts and the truth, regardless how unpleasant they may be, with the utmost professionalism and respect. I need to be honest, and I require honesty from others.I derive a certain amount of strength from being around those I know well. I gravitate toward people that I trust, but never shy away from meeting new people.I get the job done:I have found that I am good at solving problems. Sometimes this means working to restore something that has been dismissed or written off by others.I prefer to achieve something tangible each day, and in the end, I am good at getting things done.I am steadfast in my service to others.I take psychological ownership for anything that I commit to, and large or small, I feel bound to follow it through to completion.In a way, I feel as if every day starts at zero. After each accomplishment is reached, I begin to focus on the next accomplishment.I like working hard to rise to a challenge:I enjoy the challenge of analyzing the symptoms related to an issue, identifying what the root cause is, and finding the solution. I am conscientiousness about doing things right and upholding an ethical standard.
