Since leaving The Senné Company in May 2018, I have worked on a number of consulting projects, predominantly on short-term software development projects, either as a programmer, or in a product role. I have highlighted major positions along the way as well.

A local company approached me to provide supplemental coaching for promising high school students through their college and scholarship applications, overall writing tutoring, and portfolio preparation (as applicable for creative majors). During the COVID pandemic, many schools were unable to fully provide these services, and turned to supplemental coaches on a part-time, remote basis. All of the students I worked with got partial scholarships to one of their top three schools.

I serve on the Board of Directors for SeqHub Analytics, a boutique data science company based in Connecticut, with other principals being remote. In my role I have: * Helped founders drill down on product-market fit and overall strategy. * Prepared and filed incorporation papers for the company and * Continue to work on issues of staffing and strategic partnerships.

As PointCare looked to expand and integrate key of its key product lines, they brought on additional contract developers to work to bridge the gap between Salesforce and Salesforce DX, to allow health systems and RCMs better manage uninsured patients throughout the process. I predominantly worked on the "Qualify" product line, which evaluated patients' conditions to find appropriate insurance coverage or government programs to cater to their needs.Primary technologies used: Salesforce DX, GitHub (incl. Issues)

While at The Senné Company, I focused on building out a modular software platform that could support company divisions (such as rentals, residential sales, and commercial sales, which had formerly been disparate database platforms), to ensure a more integrated whole business, in keeping with a thorough re-branding in 2018. Technologies used included a mix of traditional LAMP stack development, Wordpress, and database integrations with proprietary real estate management software.

Lead Instructor, Front End Web Development: In this 10-week, part-time course, I taught students (a mix of working professionals and career changers) best practices in HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and JavaScript, including responsive design patterns, form-building, standards compliance, effective use of GitHub and peer code reviews for collaboration, and the beginnings of full-stack application development. I also taught several shorter workshops on web development and portfolio-building.

Apprentice100 ("A100") was a software developer apprenticeship program that trained computer science and engineering students from colleges and universities by bridging the gaps between their academic learning, existing communities of developers, and the needs of software-based startups. A100 was a key component of the Connecticut Innovation Ecosystem, a statewide program that aims to foster technical and business innovation throughout the state. The program sunsetted in December of 2016.As Venture Development Director (January 2015 - December 2016), I focused primarily on the success of our client entrepreneurs, through product management on their prototype applications built through our apprenticeship program. While in this role, I managed development on nine new software products in a variety of industries.Previously, as Program Director (2013-2014), I was primarily responsible for creating and implementing the A100 Program. In that role I:• Developed full-stack JavaScript curriculum and delivered technical trainings to Apprentices• Negotiated $750,000 contract with CTNext, alongside CEO, to allow adequate ramp to build financial sustainability• Recruited CS students from Connecticut universities and evaluated candidates for their suitability for the A100 Program• Fostered strategic partnerships with key hiring partners to provide an employment pipeline for Apprentices• Built the program towards financial self-sustainability, enabling the company to hire an additional four staff members onto the A100 Program team

AALDEF is a national civil rights non-profit organization working to protect the civil rights of Asian Americans. While there, I performed both legal and policy work for the Education and Youth Rights Project.• Demographic analysis on student drop-out rates among Asian-American teenagers• Met with school officials, community members, and New York City School Chancellor Joel Klein to discuss racially-motivated school violence• Worked with high school interns to develop and perform street theater pieces as community outreach on school safety issues in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn• Wrote memorandum analyzing the impact of "Seattle school integration" cases (Parents Involved in Community Schools v. Seattle School District No. 1, et al.; Meredith v. Jefferson County Board of Education, 551 U.S. 701) on Asian American students

At the Massachusetts Teachers Association, I served as a legal intern to the legal division of a large teachers' union, working primarily on education and labor/employment law.• Analyzed legislative history behind health care laws to provide attorneys with policy arguments to make before the Mass Supreme Court in employment benefits case• Prepared for arbitrations and administrative hearing on matters of teacher discipline and tenure• Researched and wrote memos on questions of employment and labor law that affected teachers and librarians

The San Francisco Public Defender's Office is a large governmental institution whose attorneys defend indigent clients charged with crimes. I spent the first of my four full-time, three-month long internships in law school there.• Interviewed clients and witnesses to prepare cases for trial.• Researched and drafted legal memoranda dealing with a variety of issues dealing with substantive criminal law and criminal procedure.• Wrote motions and briefs to the court on several matters, including violations of speedy trial rights, right to fair trial, and evidentiary issues.• Drafted an interlocutory appeal of a motion to suppress evidence.• Observed motion hearings and trials in court.
