As a Leasing Manager I am responsible for overseeing lease up and marketing for our communities as well as supervising a small staff of Community Assistants. The lease up process includes; giving tours in person as well as selling apartments over the phone, following up with prospects who have not signed a lease, assisting prospects with application paperwork, preparing lease agreements, processing background and credit checks, assigning apartments, roommate matching, file audits, and organizing and overseeing move in day. On the marketing side as the Leasing Manager I am responsible for the planning of resident events that are hosted each month. A calendar is created at the beginning of each month and distributed to all of the residents detailing out any event the apartment community is hosting as well as any event going on in the community or on campus. Social Media is a large part of the marketing for students and as the Leasing Manager I oversee the Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest accounts. For Facebook and Twitter our company utilizes Hootsuite to post our tweets and statuses. I am responsible for creating the content that is uploaded and ensuring that all of the content has proper calls to action and is relevant. I also help oversee the website and help curate content for the blog as well as confirming that all information on the website is accurate. Also on the marketing side of my role I work closely with local businesses and Valdosta State University to promote and market the SQ Brand.
