Karen Salmeron is a dedicated project management professional with extensive experience in community outreach, stakeholder engagement, and program coordination. Her work focuses on aligning projects with organizational goals, fostering community partnerships, and driving meaningful social impact.As a Program Specialist at the Washington National Cathedral, Salmeron oversees the development and execution of programs within the Cathedral College of Faith & Culture, focusing on racial justice, religious diversity, and the Cathedral’s civic mission. She coordinates events, manages logistics, and collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful program delivery. Previously, as the Engagement Coordinator at Georgetown University, Salmeron supported major community events like Georgetown Community Day and the President's Community Holiday Party, hosting over 200 guests annually. She also led the university's involvement in the 2020 U.S. Census Bureau Enumeration and achieved a 95% compliance rate for COVID-19 testing among 2,000 off-campus students. In addition, she managed the Don Bosco Cristo Rey Corporate Work Study Program internship and developed e-newsletters to strengthen community relations.Before her time at Georgetown, Salmeron served as the Alumni Outreach Coordinator at Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School, supporting over 400 alumni with financial and career resources, managing alumni communications, and strengthening the alumni network.Salmeron holds a degree in Sociology from Villanova University and a Master of Professional Studies in Project Management, along with a Graduate Certificate in Lean & Agile Practices from Georgetown University.
