Project Assistant
Duties included:•Starting as project assistant, assisting in various projects for Boots account•Given the responsibility to manage my own project, titled Central Ordering Project•This project involved reducing the lead time of ordering hardware, software, and third party resources by stream lining the ordering process, with the final aim of off shoring the ordering process to a newly recruited IBM team based in India•Helping IBM and Boots save time, resources and money•Successful completion based on implementation of business and computing theories and techniques learnt at undergraduate level, and putting them into practice Attributes gained:•Developing an understanding on how to implement theoretical knowledge into daily practice in the allocated roles•Gaining sound understanding of the functioning of a blue chip organisation through ways of excellent project handing, application and delivery of my own project•Developing a stronger understanding of the importance of a strong and successful customer-supplier relationship as I was based at a customer site (Boots Head Quarters)•Understanding the significance of maintaining and developing a positive customer-supplier relationship in order to be successful in the contemporary business market
