Managed a department of business analysts to support the business needs of the Equity and Liquidity divisions. Responsible for the integration of new BlackRock equity offices and investment teams in Philadelphia, Wilmington, Boston, and Edinburgh. Defined, planned, coordinated, documented and implemented large scale project plans for various project platforms within the Equity and Liquidity divisions. Worked with internal clients (Equity & Liquidity Investment teams, Trading and Operations) to define and prioritize the various initiatives, gather business requirements, develop workflows, assist in project design, coordinate testing and integration, and manage the global deployment and support of the solutions. Point of contact of coordination and escalation to ensure project platforms used across the equity division met industry best practices and were fit to purpose, adequately supported and globally consistent. Implemented standardized trade/order management & accounting systems across the Equity offices. Responsible for business continuity plans and disaster recovery testing for the US Equity division. Participated in strategic trading initiatives across the organization. Stayed abreast of market drivers and vendors platforms/tools space (FIX, SWIFT).

Registered Investment Advisors - Provident Capital Management & PNC Equity Advisors. Supported all of the technology and business needs of Portfolio Management Group, Trading and back office. Managed the soft dollar budget for all market data vendors and SEC compliance. Responsible for implementing a trade order management system (Advent Moxy) with electronic order trading using FIX protocol. Responsible for the integration of Provident Capital Management and PNC Equity Advisors into a single accounting system (SunGard NIDS) and subsequent migration to Advent Axys. Interfaced third-party trading systems with PNC automated trading system.

Managed the largest Trust Division project valued at $3 million within the corporation. Worked closely with market CIOs and Portfolio Managers to analyze database needs and document work flow. Implemented database application (Thompson Financial PORTIA) that resulted in a 10% account load increase per Portfolio Manager within 1 year. Directed the installation and standardization of four servers to run the application in remote markets via WAN. Worked with Systems & Programming to develop data sharing interfaces between the mainframe and servers. Trained and supported 125 Portfolio Managers in PA, OH, DE, KY & FL on the application. Representative on the vendor's committee for product development and enhancement.

Responsible for the implementation of new technology and the streamlining of departmental work flow and maintaining existing IBM System/36 & upgrade to AS/400 mini-computer. Installed and activated 3270 Emulation on the System/36 for communications to host mainframe. Installed and activated Multi-Station Remote Job Entry. Installed 5250 Enhanced and Remote Emulation on IBM PS/2 computers. Administrator for department's IBM token-ring LAN. Worked in conjunction with IBM on an Automated Transfer Study for the Trust Division.

Managed a staff of 6 analysts to support users throughout the US. Supported Shearson Lehman Hutton/PFPC sales staff by making presentations to upper-level bank managers about the benefits of Advantage Plus. Advantage Plus was a comprehensive institutional investment and systems package consisting of nine fixed income mutual funds and four PC-based software systems. Traveled nationwide 90% of the time to service nearly 500 accounts with $1 billion in assets. Interfaced with business analysts and shareholders daily to enhance/implement the product's growth. Updated Vice President of Mutual Funds Group on the status of installation and client-related problems. Prepared training programs for in-house and customer use. Supervised, trained, and evaluated a group of installers and Help Desk personnel. Resolved all PC and software-related problems by providing operational and technical support. Daily follow-up and reinforcement of product with clients. Surpassed departmental goals by increasing trading volume from 0 to 2,500 orders per month in a six-month period. Installed 150 new accounts throughout the United States.
