Direct Aerospace systems engineering, systems acquisition, and I&T support for the spacecraft acquisition. Provide independent technical design trades and assessments. Participate in design/readiness reviews and all levels of space system testing. Cooperatively work with other support contractor staff on division of labor to avoid duplication of effort while ensuring all technical issues are addressed. Document technical findings/recommendations, through memoranda and Aerospace TORs, for corporate and Government leadership. Cooperatively participate in discussions to identify and document process and test enhancements leading to increased confidence in the results. Work with ETG managers to identify appropriate skill needs, charging levels, and deliverables to efficiently apply subject matter experts to support customer’s mission, including: unit, subsystem, and system failure investigation; part, materials, and process issues; I&T issues; and readiness. Review staff products for technical accuracy and consistency. Provide regular feedback to staff through clear and concise factual assessments and constructive suggestions for improvement. Interact with Government division director as counterpart, technical mentor, and advisor. Actively consult with, and provide lessons learned to, other divisions on aiding them with their processes. Manage to assigned targets for manpower, travel, capital, and controllable overhead budgets. Work with management colleagues to ensure equitable merit increases, PRP, spot awards, and special raises. Create job postings, interview candidates, and select appropriate staff to support mission and assigned tasking. Coordinate and consolidate inputs to revised corporate technical instructions.
