ServiceNow acquired Passage AI in February 2020.Currently leading the Document Intelligence and Computer Vision machine learning engineering teams. Incorporating Generative AI and LLMs into document understanding solution to bridge between documents and business workflows. Took the team to GA and the first production customers. Now focused on scaling.Previously, led Automation Discovery and Task Intelligence development teams. Used deep learning NLU and classical machine learning models to find insights for customers in their data. Provided a match-making service between a customer and their biggest opportunities for automation using the ServiceNow platform.

Employee #2 at Passage AI.Joined startup at seed round to lead the product design and development of the Conversational AI platform. Designed, built, and shipped the core products. Recruited, hired, and managed the product development team as Passage AI expanded from a company of 5 in Mountain View to over 30 people across the U.S., Canada, Germany, India, and Japan. During my time at Passage AI we raised Series A, significantly grew ARR, and were acquired by ServiceNow at the beginning of 2020.I believe there will be a conversational interface to everything because language understanding is the ultimate affordance.

EMC acquired Maginatics in October 2014.Formed, recruited, and led a team to build a modern console for EMC cloud storage products. Our team was distributed across 4 offices in 3 time zones and doubled in size during my tenure, so we operated as a remote team and followed best practices for collaboration. In less than 2 years, we launched multiple products and rapidly iterated through continuous delivery.

Promoted to Design Director. Partnered with head of marketing to redesign and rebuild our lead generation. New strategy significantly increased the quality of leads for the sales team.

Joined startup at Series A to design, build, and ship the console for the cloud storage platform. Focus was to develop the product to make a powerful distributed storage system approachable for our customers. During my time at Maginatics we raised Series B, grew ARR, and were acquired by EMC.

Bootstrap startup interlude. Product, design, and development. Prototyped and built several multiplayer projects for web and mobile. Lots of rapid iteration and joyful creation.

Joined the HP Cloud Services web team to design the UI for the management console. Built and shipped a new web console and website design.

First designer hired into the Experience Software Business. Lead designer for this consumer software R&D group inside the Personal Systems Group (PSG).Directed the design and development of the UI/UX design system for consumer software applications, including visual, interaction and code toolkit.

Started at HP Labs as an intern to work on an interactive television prototype. Then, joined full-time to work on the design and development of mobile applications, SDK, and a community website for a location-based media project called “Mediascapes”. Built a large, GPS-driven interactive nature walk in Yosemite, with the support of NPS rangers, that we tested with a large number of park visitors.

First startup. Founded with partners from HP Labs. I led design for the automated movie generation product. We used machine learning to generate personalized movies from photos and videos. Incorporated, built the product, and sold white-label licenses to the technology.The product we built was inspired by my MFA thesis project at USC.

Led a research project to build tools and techniques for intelligence analysis for a three-letter agency.

Founding student member of the Mobile Media Lab, led by Mark Bolas and Scott Fisher.
