Assisted the Resident Engineer in overseeing a civil construction project in Elgin, IL. Documented the daily activities of the contractor including the quantities of what they completed, location of the items, and any complications or changes to the plans. Inspected the work of the contractor to confirm that it was built to the plans and specifications.

Assisted with landscaping maintenance and associated projects such as building fences, decks, retaining walls, masonry, patios and concrete driveways.

Worked with crew members to do maintenance on refinery equipment and pipes. Completed an estimating project based on what I learned in the field. Wrote a weekly journal documenting the equipment, products and any complications during that week. I also looked for areas of improvement and included that in my report.
