I am presently a senior content writer at Webfor, a digital marketing agency in Vancouver, WA. Before that, I spent nearly 25 years at The Columbian, as a journalist, special sections editor, content producer, and whatever other interesting job they had for me. I may have even delivered papers for them once or twice in my youth.In my capacity as a senior content writer, I use SEO, AI, and other writing tools (as well as my head) to produce content for a wide variety of clients. From small, local outfits to nationwide companies with hundreds of locations. But no matter the clients, I deliver content that not only satisfies the searcher's intent but also appeals to Google algorithms.Knowing what to write about is just as important as knowing how to write about it. I'm experienced in reviewing existing website content and setting a clear content strategy/content plan moving forward. This includes keyword research, finding content that needs to be refreshed, and creating pillar content that can be used to create even more content.I also have experience with on-page SEO, alt tags, meta descriptions, title tags, and so on. Knowing how to blend both SEO and content is how you get results-it's not just one or the other.It's unavoidable: AI is becoming a huge part of content creation. However, it is nowhere near capable enough to handle all content writing tasks. There is a lot of curation involved, and that's where my experience as an honest-to-goodness content writer comes into play. AI offers a lot to content writing, but it still needs to be managed. I knowhow to do that.
