Direct the external affairs team in the immediate Office of the Secretary and across all staff and operating divisions to further the agency’s goals and priorities. Lead a team responsible for engaging with industry leaders, patient groups, providers and other external stakeholders on policy and rule-making issues ranging across all HHS divisions. Advise the Secretary, senior staff and operating division heads on the concerns and priorities of external stakeholders. Participate in cross-departmental task forces on the major initiatives of the agency, including provider deregulation, the opioid crisis, and childhood obesity. Regular speaker on healthcare issues at industry conferences and D.C. fly-ins. Collaborate with White House officials on healthcare related external outreach and organized multiple key stakeholder roundtable discussions with administration officials.
