In 2006 I began my career as a volunteer firefighter and found a passion in helping others. I then quickly pushed myself into the education side of fighting fire & emergency medical technician training and obtained certification in 2008. In 2009 I made the leap into full-time firefighting for Strafford, Missouri FPD, where I spent 4 years sharpening my skills before returning to school for certification as a paramedic and joined CoxHealth Emergency Medical Services in 2013.Since the move to CoxHealth I am grateful to have had the opportunity to serve as an EMT, a Paramedic, a Paramedic Training Officer, an EMS Educator, an EMS project coordinator, and as the EMS Business Manager, where I manage a multi-million dollar budget, serve as a process improvement specialist and work to expand the scope and impact of CoxHealth EMS in our community. My proud responsibilities include our growing and successful Community Paramedic program (CHAPPs), our non-emergency transport van service, inventory and supply management for the system, our EMS billing team, EMS employee compliance, and clinical software administration.Educationally in that time I have completed 3 associate degrees from Ozarks Technical Community College, a bachelor's from Missouri State and I am currently seeking a master's in healthcare administration at Missouri State.My next adventure is continuing to hone my skills as a leader, communicator, speaker, and problem solver as I look onward in executive leadership within the healthcare world.
