1. Provides technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to assigned Black Belts as part of their project management and personal development.2. Verifies that DMAIC methodology and tools are being properly applied to projects.3. Consults on Six Sigma projects with regard to project direction, financial and quality improvement opportunities and suitability as a Six Sigma project.4. Conducts Six Sigma training and education for Black Belts and Champions following the Johnson Controls Leadership Institute model.5. In conjunction with the Leadership Institute and Project Champions, certifies Black Belts.6. Assists Champions in the identification of project opportunities and Black Belt candidates.7. Shares “best practices” throughout the Company and monitors Six Sigma projects for opportunities for cross-collaboration.8. Reviews project status with assigned Black Belts and Champions and provides counsel and advice on the use of Six Sigma tools and methodology.9. Assures assigned Black Belts are kept informed of new developments/approaches in Six Sigma methodology.10. Models the Six Sigma process in individual and group interactions and challenges current thinking and resistance.11. Looks for opportunities to recognize and publicize the accomplishments of assigned Black Belts.12. May lead projects independently or with the help of a Black Belt(s). 13. Stays current with Company Six Sigma initiative and new process and quality improvement tools and techniques.14. Collaborates with Project Champions, Leadership Institute and other MBBs to develop and evolve Six Sigma training materials, classes, workshops, tools and methods.
