In the nearly 5 years with the company, I have traveled globally installing, troubleshooting, and repairing Southern States switches and equipment. The tasks include installing, adjusting, and commissioning disconnect switches, motor operators, and SF6 power switching devices. This includes diagnosing and repairing broken units. I have been responsible for leading crews in installing this equipment while handling logistics for getting parts and equipment on site to complete the work. I am responsible for making contact with the customer and planning the service trip, including booking all travel arrangements and logging my time while on the road. I also maintain detailed service reports of each completed job. A large part of my job is building customer relations to open up more opportunities for future opportunities. I am heavily involved in our turnkey work where our crew completes the install and adjustments for the customer. Part of my duties in turnkey jobs are planning and executing turnkey jobs and leading our crew and possibly even contractors in completing the work normally under tight time constraints. While in the office, I assist in entering orders into the system for production, answer calls from customers assisting them with installation and troubleshooting/repair. I also provide quotes for necessary field service and equipment, resulting in over $100k in sales in the first half of the year.

My responsibilities included installing, repairing, and maintaining cable TV, Internet, and telephone systems. I was also responsible for maintaining and stocking work truck and keeping good customer relations.

In my 3.5 years of lineman training my responsibility's included working with energized lines, building transformer banks, line maintenance, and outage restoration. Able to read a one-line and draw switching orders on single- and three-phase projects.
