- Part of a team of enthusiastic engineers working to launch a liquid-fueled rocket past the Karman line.- Structures team engineer, with emphasis on designing the airframe and nose cone.- Conducted trade studies to generate possible concepts for both the design of the nose cone and the airframe of the rocket.- Created decision matrices for all concepts based on data from the trades studies in order to determine which concept was the best.- Used NX to model and test potential airframe designs with special attention to how the airframes handle the von Mises stresses created during launch and while in transit to the Karman Line.- Wrote code in MATLAB to determine the magnitude of forces attacking the airframe during launch.- Develop testing procedures for the rocket engine test stand with the goal of testing the simulation of all the possible forces, vibrations, and temperatures that would be created when a rocket engine is firing without firing the engine.

- Participated in the design and maintenance of the military cargo handling and aerial delivery systems for the Lockheed Martin C-130, Kawasaki C2 and Airbus A400M.- Learned and used industry design specifications (MIL, NAS, etc.)- Oversaw the test campaign for a failing proximity sensor on Airbus A400M CHS. Over the course of test campaign used ESPEC altitude and temperature chamber to conduct test with varying temperature profile to test for failure in proximity sensor.- Wrote test memo to include both the set-up, procedure and results of the proximity sensor test campaign.- Participated in the thorough and rigorous document compliance and control processes (experience with SolidWorks,CATIA, PDM and SmarTeam).

- Lead a team of 10 engineers in developing a proposal for a Quad-Rotor VTOL aircraft called AEROTACT in which we were competing for ten thousand dollars in funding from NASA.- Responsible for guiding the team through the proposal writing process, making sure key milestones were met.- Served as internal reviewer of the proposal ensuring all necessary information was included.

- Collaborated with a multi-disciplined team of 10 engineers to create a preliminary design review (PDR) for the Mars- Subterranean Astrobiology and Radiation Explorer (MASTODON-XL) lava tube explorer.- Adapted previously used components for use in new environments and completed CAD models for components using Siemens NX.- Served as liaison between the science hardware team and engineering team.- Created procedures for integration of all 7 science instruments on the main rover body.- Managed the mass budget of 50 kg for the entire mission.- Identified and investigated potential failure modes for the main MASTODON-XL traversal system and created procedures to mitigate any potential catastrophic failures of the system.
