Design coordinator for the O'Herns Road Upgrade Stage 2 on behalf of MRPV. Downer was awarded a $70 M design and construct contract to provide additional connectivity for future developments in Epping. This included a full diamond interchange with upgrade to the local arterial route. Undertook the management of the detailed design from Tender award with several design partners most notably, Arcadis and CMW as major design partners.

Waterview Shared Path, September 2015 – June 2016The Waterview shared path is a 2.4km shared path connecting Waterview and Mt Roskill. Lead structural engineer for the Alford Street Bridge ($4 million). A 90m long 3-span, 13m high reinforced concrete bridge with precast pre-stressed super T superstructure. The bridge also had several cultural aspects (Te-aranga principles) incorporated into the design. This role included interdisciplinary co-ordination, stake holder management, and concept design through to detailed design. Waterview Connection, August 2014 – February 2017The Waterview Connection project is one of the most important infrastructure developments ever to take place in New Zealand. Structural engineer who carried out a quality assurance role in the construction phase support team. This role included co-ordinating between the Design and Construction teams for design implementation, verification, modification and value engineering. Compliance with delivery requirements and implementation of appropriate corrective and preventative actions required. This included the Southern Ventilation Building ($20 million) and the Hendon Park Footbridge ($5 million).

Wairau Stream Footbridge Detail Design, June 2014 – August 2014Wairau footbridge was commissioned to allow pedestrians access across the Milford marina to continue the beautiful coastal walks along the east coast bays of the North Shore, Auckland. This was enabled by a pedestrian draw bridge across the estuary.Structural engineer who carried out modelling of the bridge in Spacegass and designed the concrete piers, deck, abutment, wing walls. This also included the design of the steel/timber members in the draw bridge section.Vanuatu Tourism Infrastructure Project, April 2014 – July 2014This multi-million dollar project involves the upgrade of Port Vila’s seafront. The aim of the project was to boost tourism in Vanuatu. Structural engineer who carried out the detail design of the sheet pile walls, concrete capping beam and concrete deck for the central pier and sea steps along the main seawall.Auckland Transport Asset Management, April 2013 - June 2013This project included management of over 3000 assets on behalf of Auckland Transport. Teams were trained and managed to deliver forward work plan reporting and costing for up to 10 years ahead. Development of inspection and reporting to increase productivity lead to tablet based geo-tagging and reporting.

Narrowneck Beach Ramp Replacement, August 2012 – October 2013This project involved the replacement of an existing public access/boat ramp on an inner city beach. Works included the construction of a reinforced concrete ramp cast partially in situ and partially precast suspended slabs above the sand. It involved assessing options for the boat ramp structure and progressing through to construction completion.Civil engineer who prepared drawings for resource consent application and tendering, detailed design, construction drawings and construction monitoring.Tuvalu Ship to Shore Project, June 2012 - April 2013This role included concept and detailed design for navigation system through reef system, preparation of tender documents through to contract management including progress payments, construction assistance, and variations orders.Birkenhead Wharf, March 2012 – September 2012The project assessed the current condition of the Birkenhead wharf and repaired the wharf as effectively as possible whilst remaining within the budget allocated. Civil engineer who carried out condition assessments on Birkenhead wharf, carried out visual inspections and preparation of drawings and the preparation of tender and contract documents for repair works, together with wharf plans detailing the location and extent of repairs. Also acted as the MSQA Rep for Auckland Transport during construction. This included site inspections to verify contractor’s work, monitoring of concrete quantities and costs, conduct health and safety audits, issuing minutes of site meetings, and preparing progress payment certificates and variation orders.
