Waterview Shared Path, September 2015 – June 2016The Waterview shared path is a 2.4km shared path connecting Waterview and Mt Roskill. Lead structural engineer for the Alford Street Bridge ($4 million). A 90m long 3-span, 13m high reinforced concrete bridge with precast pre-stressed super T superstructure. The bridge also had several cultural aspects (Te-aranga principles) incorporated into the design. This role included interdisciplinary co-ordination, stake holder management, and concept design through to detailed design. Waterview Connection, August 2014 – February 2017The Waterview Connection project is one of the most important infrastructure developments ever to take place in New Zealand. Structural engineer who carried out a quality assurance role in the construction phase support team. This role included co-ordinating between the Design and Construction teams for design implementation, verification, modification and value engineering. Compliance with delivery requirements and implementation of appropriate corrective and preventative actions required. This included the Southern Ventilation Building ($20 million) and the Hendon Park Footbridge ($5 million).

The aim of the project was to boost tourism in Vanuatu. Civil engineer who carried out condition assessments on Birkenhead wharf, carried out visual inspections and preparation of drawings and the preparation of tender and contract documents for repair works, together with wharf plans detailing the location and extent of repairs. Also acted as the MSQA Rep for Auckland Transport during construction. This included site inspections to verify contractor’s work, monitoring of concrete quantities and costs, conduct health and safety audits, issuing minutes of site meetings, and preparing progress payment certificates and variation orders.
