After graduating from South Aiken High School in Aiken, SC, I chose to attend Clemson University to pursue Mechanical Engineering. I wanted to supplement my academic education with an internship, so in the summer of 2009 after my sophomore year I obtained an internship with the pharmaceutical manufacturing company GlaxoSmithKline. I found this work experience to be extremely valuable, and was accepted for a Co-op position with Duke Energy from January - August 2010. After a semester back in Clemson, I had the opportunity to work as a Co-op again with Duke Energy from January 2011 - May 2011 at their 2200MW coal plant Marshall Steam Station in Moorseville, NC. I am in my final semester at Clemson and will graduate May 2012.Goals:Graduate Magna cum Laude from Clemson UniversityObtain an entry level engineering position where I can become part of a teamExpand my knowledge both technically and professionallyemail: kwstone@g.clemson.edu
