As VP of Internal Audit I oversee the entire internal audit function of the bank, including designing audit programs, schedules, budgets, and performing internal audits. These audits cover all aspects of the bank's operations including loan review, IT, compliance, etc. I also serve as a point of contact for our external audits as well as examiners from the FDIC and Utah DFI.

I was an Examiner for the Utah Department of Financial Institutions. I analyzed the financial performance, internal controls and operations of state chartered financial institutions in Utah.These institutions ranged from small credit unions to large complex banks like GE Capital and American Express. My work focused on capital adequacy, asset quality, management’s ability, earnings performance,asset/liability management, and sensitivity to market risk. I worked closely with other regulators from FDIC, FRB, NCUA, OCC, and CFPB.

I was responsible for a portfolio of retail and office properties in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. I worked with the tenants to resolve issues and concerns, collected rents on delinquent accounts, managed common area maintenance and worked with vendors to service the properties. I also handled lease renewals and worked with several leasing agents to fill vacancies.

Provided personalized service to an assigned book of high asset and high revenue clients. Placed equity and derivative trades for clients and assisted with all aspects of their accounts. I also served as a resource for the entire team in dealing with taxable events and accounts with preferential tax treatment. On occasion I assisted the training department by teaching some "new hire classes" and took on special projects for the betterment of the team.
