-Utilize Synergi Gas modeling software to develop capital reinforcement projects required to maintain adequate natural gas capacity in multiple transmission and distribution systems. Additionally, serve as one of the department's Synergi subject matter experts, responsible for maintaining and re-building the hydraulic models for MDU’s eight state territory. -Create and maintain the five-year capital budget by developing cost estimates and project justification documentation after reviewing alternative solutions. -Generate engineering documents including construction/fabrication drawings, test reports, work plans, material requisitions, etc. After planning and design is complete, manage multi-million dollar projects through the construction process on time and on budget. -Review, provide design feedback, and approve all other natural gas projects that do not fall under the direct responsibility of the Engineering Services department. This responsibility typically spanned three company districts within five states (WA, ID, SD, WY, MT), but could include additional districts as needed. The Idaho district was specific to the Boise-Nampa metro area, one of the fastest growing and most demanding regions with MDU’s service territory.
