I am a recipient of the President's Lifetime Service Award. My professional career began in 2014 when I served my first year with the national service agency AmeriCorps in an under-resourced North Tulsa Elementary School. Then, in 2015 I became the site coordinator of a literacy program and managed over 100 volunteers and scores of students. After two years of increasing responsibilities and developing my professional skills, I was reached out to by the YMCA of Greater Tulsa to become a Program Director for their youth development department. Shortly thereafter, I was made the Associate Senior Director. Then, I stepped into my next role as an Associate Executive Director with the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City, helping support operations and overseeing programs for three different facilities and multiple off-site programs. In my current role, I am a Program Officer with Oklahoma AmeriCorps where I monitor and provide training and technical assistance to AmeriCorps programs across the state.
