My professional and career mission is to improve the patient and family experience in today's healthcare system. One of my greatest strengths is solving problems. Earlier in my career, as a Patient Advocate, I used this strength to work directly with patients, consumers, the clinical staff, physicians, and administration to work through many of the complexities in today's healthcare systems. While doing this work, I began to realize the value having the right data and information to not only resolve issues, but to also create processes to prevent many of the issues from happening in the first place. And by doing so, this created efficiencies, reduced costs, improved outcomes, and ultimately improved the patient experience.
