“Cloud First” has been the mantra the last several years for much of the Fortune 500 and we are increasingly seeing these companies follow through with this business commitment. At the same time, we are witnessing an explosion in the marketplace for cloud offerings and the increasing capabilities of applications in the cloud. It all appears elegant and good for business. What remains, though, is the challenge of change: Getting to the cloud and helping an organization transition to operating in the cloud. This challenge of change applies to not only the end user, who often experiences upgrades or shifts in how applications are delivered to them, but also a challenge for the support and operations teams who now must straddle a hybrid environment and change how they run the business. Across all of this, of course, is management and leadership who must struggle to comprehend and respond to how this change will impact business. The role of skilled, experienced consulting groups is just as important as it was during the early days of the shift to client-server. An organization’s simple switch to the cloud must come coupled with talented and caring people that can help make that transition a success. I am very pleased to see that the core principals of a good advisor/consultant are still valued and needed in the marketplace, no matter how much automation and simplicity has been created for us.My personal experience with architecting and implementing large scale information management solutions (for many industries, but mostly within the financial services space) is now centered around helping clients address these challenges as they move to cloud computing. And, as always, it is still satisfying when you see change successfully adopted and embraced.I love delivery; all the way from proposing a solution, down to holding hands during that first day of go-live with a new system. I look forward to the continued growth in capabilities in cloud computing, and the role of consulting to make it more smooth and fruitful for business.WHAT DO I DO?➸ Propose, Design, Develop and Deliver large scale technology solutions in the cloud.➸ Provide expertise in system modernization, cloud content service transformation and process re-engineering. ➸ Help financial institutions transform business operations to a private hosted cloud environment.➸ Define and deliver operational support of technology solutions operating in the cloud.➸ Experience working with top-tier banking and insurance institutions and other Fortune 500 companies.
