Designed conferences and produced reports to advise more than 5,000 members of best practices to manage these complex issues.Established and manage the Baltimore Washington Cyber Task Force-a collaborative comprised of business, government, and higher education leaders. Resulted in the creation of three strategic initiatives currently in effect to enhance the branding, strengthen the workforce, and maximize the economic development associated with the expanding cybersecurity opportunities in the region.Designed, organized and hosted delegation visit to China for key regional business executives. Collaborated with top tier consulting firm to research best practices and conducted over 50 expert interviews. Findings and recommendations resulted in major changes to streamline Metro’s governance processes, ensuring a more efficient and successful organization.Developed a program in collaboration with the Haitian Embassy within four days of the 2010 earthquake to coordinate the regional business response to the disaster. The event featured the Haitian Ambassador and resulted in major media coverage. Raised $250,000 for relief efforts.Coordinated a diverse coalition of stakeholders including the Maryland and Virginia Governors, the DC Mayor, and business leaders from around the region to advocate for federal support to extend Metrorail to Dulles. The coalition successfully negotiated with the US Secretary of Transportation to overturn the original decision and obtained $1.2 billion in federal funding to go forward with the project. Show less
