I have conducted soil research projects on eolian sediment as a potential parent material in Cache Valley, Utah, and plant breeding research relating to root architecture for drought tolerance. These projects have taught me how to conduct successful research projects, and I have gained presentation skills through attending numerous conferences to present this research. I have presented at the ASA, SSSA, and CSSA annual meeting, represented USU at the Research on Capital Hill event in Salt Lake City, Utah, the Conference for Undergraduate Research, and other events hosted by USU, such as the Fall Research Symposium. I aspire to continue my research and education by attending graduate school in a soil related field.
