I bring to my work a passion for connecting organizations, educators, and families with knowledge and tools to inform conservation actions at the local level. Before joining the Kentucky Association for Environmental Education as Program Director and Oldham County Soil and Water Conservation District (KY) as Environmental Educator, I served in state government for eight years as a nonformal educator (KY) and program manager (VT). Earlier in my career, I taught environmental science and freshwater ecology at secondary and college levels. At our homes in KY and VT, Rick Thomas and I collaborate with students and interns to explore traditional and innovative approaches to ecological restoration and environmental education.
