I strive to inspire humans to live both better and a little lighter on the planet. I have a passion for wild places and a belief in the transformative power of play and experiences in nature. While I work full-time as a coordinator of outdoor and camp programs for Corvallis Parks & Recreation, I still like to support other education, nature and conservation-based organizations. I create curriculum, develop programs, and complete various projects to help them achieve their goals. Once an educator and interpreter, always an educator and interpreter. I have a lot of experience with programming, teaching/facilitating, writing and developing educational materials for different organizations.Formal skills include program development and delivery, adult and K-12 direct instruction, editing and writing, formal and informal curriculum development, and educator and adult professional development. I am well-versed in Next Generation Science Standards, Universal Learning Design, Environmental Literacy Standards, nature-and environmental-education best practices and various other frameworks to guide content development. I like to listen, have a beginner’s mind and enjoy collaboration.In my free time, my 2-and 4-legged family keeps me on my toes with soccer ball maneuvers, hike and bike adventures, summer river floats and catch-and-steal the feather techniques.
