I have been teaching for 9 years now. At each position I performed similar tasks. I am currently an Algebra 1 Instructor in Seminole, TX, I have also taught in Denver City, Lamesa and Odessa,TX.-Develop and implement plans that fulfill the requirements of the alternative campus's math program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required.-Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in learning styles in students.-Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, equipment, and technology that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned and present subject matter.-Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education according to guidelines established in Individual Education Plans (IEP).-Work with other members of the staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods in accordance with district requirements.-Help students analyze and improve study methods and habits.-Provide timely feedback to students and track progress through a variety of methods.-Conduct ongoing assessment and feedback related to student achievement through formal and informal methods.-Be a positive role model for students, support the mission of the school district.-Manage student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.Behavior Interventionist - August 2021 to May 2022Denver City ISD - Denver City, TX 79323-Creating Social Emotional Learning lessons-Providing a safe environment for students who have behavior concerns to cool down and discuss their concerns.-creating Individual Education Plans for students.-Collaborating with colleagues over best practices in order to maintain students' general education successes.-Creating and updating progress reports.-Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and/or volunteer(s).-Help students analyze and improve study methods and habits.-Create an in-person and virtual classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.-Be available by phone, email, or video conferencing to confer with district personnel, students, and/or parents. Effectively communicate to present information accurately and clearly to students and parents on a regular basis in person, via phone, video conference, email, or district-approved website.
