Control Engineering Coop
During my second co-op at Natel Energy, I was on the Controls team which was in charge of all electronics and software related to the hydroelectric turbines. I redesigned the headwater level control system to reduce overshoot and instabilities. Also, I created both nonlinear and linearized models of the plants to allow testing of new controllers before activating them at the actual turbines. Lastly, I created a Python-based GUI to improve access to data of condition monitoring information.
