    Research and Development project in the Digital Design & Test group.Developed in C++ an EDA software tool to optimize test architecture designs for SoC.Developed in C++ heuristic algorithms (for reasonable computation-time of the solutions) in order to compute and automatically generate test-time optimized modular test circuitries for system-on-a-chip (SoC), while satisfying user-constraints.Developed a mathematical model of the new user-constrained version of Philips' test architecture design tool: TR-Architect. Invented, created and developed a test architecture specification (TAS) language for a user of the tool to concisely define their desired (full, partial or empty) constraints. Used BNF to model the new language.Incorporated the corresponding IF-THEN rules to TR-Architect as well as consistency checks, re-using the mathematical model for both purposes (modeling and development of an Expert System-like tool).The missions: co-organised the ETW'03 workshop in Maastricht, read related research papers, co-wrote a paper on this work that I subsequently presented in May 2004 at the IEEE sponsored ETS'04 symposium in Ajaccio, Corsica.Co-authored an IEEE publication on this patented work with heuristic algorithms for Expert System (AI) and a thorough mathematical model; patent now used by all companies in the silicon industry.
