Lance Harrison came to Store DJ in 2011 after decades of working in Melbourne’s music scene as retailer (DMC Records), musician, producer and DJ. Within months of starting with us, he proved that he could do much more than talk shop with customers and was promoted to the role of Store Manager. As the leader of the Melbourne Store, Lance leads our biggest sales team while also finding time to help and chase down anything for our Melbourne customers.Lance’s love for music grew from tickling ivory, blowing horns and hitting skins (piano, trumpet and drums before any of you get the wrong idea)! Lance played in a string of bands during the 90s as a drummer before moving into the art of SL1200 deck dancing. Lance has toured throughout Asia and Europe as a DJ and has produced a plethora of techno records and digital tracks for various labels including his own imprints Primary [colours] and Pinksilver.Currently his focus is now his 5-year-old son and baby girl while still producing tracks and playing live tech sets on Ableton at various venues and festivals throughout Australia and Europe. Lance shares his knowledge of music production and DJ gear with staff and customers alike and is a perfect example of what Store DJ strives for in its staff.
