Research experience with 7 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 18 national and international conference presentations. Performed autopsies (necropsies) on over 300 animals, including 20 different species of mammals. Detailed-oriented, meet deadlines, ability to work independently or in group settings.I have spent 20 year working closely with Veterinary Pathologists. My research background has been studying the effects of chronic stress (i.e. long-term diseases) on animal models (specifically the bottlenose dolphin). This primarily involved comparative anatomy, histology, and pathology. I'm experienced in pathology, histology, microscopy (light and electron microscopy), radioimmunoassays, and muscle myoglobin assays. I was a Term Instructor at the University of Alaska teaching: Human Anatomy and Physiology, Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy, and Principles of Physiology and am qualified to teach basic microscopic anatomy or techniques in histology.
