• Formulated a successful campaign to begin addressing my hometown’s lack of LGBTQIA+ awareness by advocating for the city’s inaugural recognition and celebration of Pride Month.
• Developed material on the logistics and importance of Pride to gain support among city council members.
• Delivered remarks at a town hall after an opposition movement attempted to reverse the city’s initial 5-0 approval of proclaiming June as Pride Month. Proclamation and display of Pride flags were enacted in June 2021.
