Leading our Foundation team, charged with development of our external API, security & compliance, QA, and internal tooling. Throughout my years at Higharc, I've been the "glue" of the Engineering organization, helping with everything from decisions and implementation of various tools, authoring and maintaining a majority of our documentation, on-boarding for new employees, facilitating our on-call process, and more.I have also acted in a very customer-facing capacity, including leading meetings with both current and prospective customers, including some of our largest accounts. My team was at the center of the development of a few features critical to contract negotiations with a client, and I have been described as good at providing confidence and reassurance to customers in our conversations.At the end of the day, I wear a lot of hats and it's hard to describe my role at Higharc with a job title. I have functioned as an individual contributor, people manager, project manager, and everything in between for this organization and have been happy to play a key role for us.

Building tools to modernize the home building process.

Oversaw all software development and infrastructure efforts, from start to finish, for our roughly 90,000 member organization. My responsibilities included the design and development of new web applications, managing our VPS systems and deployment pipelines, and automating tasks for staff by building various cron jobs that integrate with our membership database. Additionally, I act as a project manager when working in areas that involve contributions from our tech volunteers.

Lots of React, GraphQL, and Python while making contributions across the entire stack of our application. Other responsibilities included data visualizations for customer demos using Grafana, product planning, and working with our QA team to ensure stable software releases.

Helped to bring advanced computer vision and artificial intelligence technology to industrial robots. Led UI development. Architected and developed a Vue.js-based web application that allows for the configuration and monitoring of industrial robots that integrate with our computer vision system. Notable features include communication over multiple WebSocket servers, ability to upgrade software remotely, and support for advanced mouse / keyboard interaction.

Digital products with a handmade touch.We’re a design and development agency dedicated to crafting beautiful things for unique brands and individuals. We specialize in website design and development, branding, graphic design, UI / UX, photography, videography, and consulting.

Worked on developing our online catering platform with the store team. Responsibilities include full-stack web development, data analysis and visualization based on tracking data from our applications, and improving our developer tooling.

My work for Onshape this year started as a spring semester co-op, and continued into a traditional summer internship. My 8 months here included development work on a variety of products; I added features and fixed bugs in our REST API, worked on the App Store, wrote sample applications for our partner companies and developers to reference, and was in charge of updating and managing our API Explorer tool for partners.

I tutored students taking online courses in Python, back end web development, object-oriented programming, and JavaScript. I also helped out on the forums and project grading side of things, and co-created a course on Backbone.js for our Front-End Developer Nanodegree.Additionally, as a side project I developed an unofficial API for Udacity, which has been downloaded thousands of times and is still being maintained on GitHub. Lastly, I worked on software to help automate the project grading process for a few JavaScript courses.

During the summer of 2015, I worked at Onshape as a software development intern for the API team. My duties included working on our REST API, developing tools for our business partners to help them use the API, and writing tests and documentation. Technologies I used included Java, Node.js/Express, HTML/CSS, the Mocha testing framework, the Gulp build system, Google's Protocol Buffers, and some front-end JavaScript/jQuery.

During my semester off from school, I worked as an application development intern at Hasbro. Some of the projects I completed include jQuery plugins for brand websites, automated end-to-end test suites, a few internal web pages, and an admin interface for a video web service. Technologies I used include shell scripts, NodeJS / Express, Java, PHP, MS SQL, and front-end JavaScript.

I worked as an intern at Onshape during the summer of 2014. I wrote automated tests using Protractor, and also helped define and implement our end-to-end test infrastructure, in addition to manual QA testing.

I wrote blogs for the Office of Admissions, with the goal of attracting prospective students to the school.

I was a TA for the introductory Java class at the University of Rochester. My responsibilities included supervising lab sessions, responding to students' emails, and grading assignments.

My duties at Woodman Music included cleaning and fixing instruments that needed to be rented out to public schools in the New England area. I also helped build and set up a new office room with internet and television, and have done organizing around the warehouse.
