Lead a team of 5 people in the design and development of protocol drivers for a proprietary embedded platform running VxWorks, pSOS and embedded Windows.

Key engineer in the design and development of LiveStage Pro 4.0, a multimedia authoring system. Responsible for the UI design and feature specification / implementation of the timeline / media management interface which was a key element in the applications usability. Also dealt with 90% of cross platform issues including XML project support, user interface design and final movie generation.Spearheaded the process of porting a Macintosh C++ development framework to the Windows platform. By utilizing this ported framework, code reuse increased from 30% to 85%. This also enabled the simultaneous release of cross platform products where previous releases were typically a few months apart.Co-developed a customer support portal that utilized ASP, ASP.Net, SQL Server and Microsoft Access. The portal enabled users to register products and retrieve product updates, support and technical information. Technical support calls were reduced by approximately 20% after the initial launch.

Solely responsible for producing 4-5 scenes, from storyboard, of the “Counting on Frank” CDROM title. As part of this process, regular interaction was required with graphic artists and animators. Each scene required design and development of many cross platform UI elements that plugged into the multimedia framework. To pull all of the elements together, hundreds of hours were spent scripting, user testing and optimizing the scripts and framework to achieve optimal playback.Worked in a team of 6 developers to co-design a multimedia playback environment for CDROM delivery. Developed approximately 60% of the foundation components for the Windows platform while coordinating with similar development on the Macintosh. This multimedia engine was later used in a very successful children’s CDROM produced by Electronic Arts.
