Arrived at Vernal, Utah district with 230 employees, including 7 operation line management, 5 Cement Field Engineers, a 24 hour lab (5 employees), 24 hour bulk plant (12 employees) and the downturn hit resulting in the reduction of head count in the district to 1 Line Management running the frac portion of the district and me running the cement portion with the support of a bulk plant operator for blending. During this time I took over several cement roles at the district including paperwork preparation, crew coordination, HSE support, bulk plant operator, lab technician, field engineer/job supervisor and district engineer. Mentored younger FE’s as they arrived at the district. Tested cementing design software. Orchestrated crew’s for job coverage. Supervised pump operator and 2 equipment operators to treat cement jobs. Designed cement jobs for oil and gas wells.
