Senior Technical Specialist - Customer Service
Current1. Contacts and communicates with customers, design agencies and other customer contacts.2. Receives and maintains all incoming materials such as: process scans, transparencies, discs, sleeves, customer supplied designs and other media; assures readiness for immediate graphic production and/or shipment to customer location.3. Initiates the preflight of incoming graphics media with proofs.4. Coordinates front-end review of new artwork with Art, Design and PCC Departments for specifically given information and instructions; to be precise and informative with customer requests, printability and family consistency.5. Reviews all jobs that require high resolution printing with appropriate personnel.6. Interfaces with schedulers and other departmental managers to insure all work is on schedule and timelines are being met.7. Generates quotes to include pricing and timelines, production orders and other necessary documentation for incoming jobs. 8. Re-estimates proofs returned with revisions, and updates job cost estimating system.9. Supervises, cross-trains and continually assesses Technical Representatives that assist with particular accounts and other personnel (including the use of Job Manager and Virtual Ticket systems).10. Communicates changes in schedule, colors, artwork elements, etc. to individual artists and designers through written documentation.11. Organizes and keeps track of copies, faxes and FedEx’s within each project. 12. Ships proofs out to Sales Department, sales force and/or customers.13. Initiates and maintains Press Profile information for Converting plants, to include travel and plant visits as well as press runs for profiling.14. Travel to include customer facilities, manufacturing plants and trade shows as required.15. Initiates all press approvals and/or print set-ups when Cyber Graphics materials are used.
