Manage material, training and maintenance to achieve high readiness levels for aircraft carriers and air wings.- Review briefing materials and provide insights to leadership. Briefs covering a wide range of Naval Aviation topics are an integral part of the NAE drumbeat. Provide comments on where leadership should focus and questions that could be asked. Manage a small staff that captures follow-up actions during briefs and provides minutes.- Provide training to executive level personnel. Developed and executed recurring two-day course that provides Navy leaders with necessary NAE and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) information. Course curriculum assembles subject matter experts that cover an overview of the NAE, its metrics and drumbeat. The CPI portion of the course is taught by a Master Black Belt and provides executive overview of Theory of Constraints, Lean and Six Sigma with an emphasis on their application to operational aviation units. Course is currently attended by Navy leaders and will include their Marine Corps counterparts beginning in November 2017.- Oversee planning and execution of offsite meetings. When directed, plan and execute meetings that bring in Navy and Marine Corps leadership from across the country. Working with the Protocol Office and a small staff, plan all site logistics, gather briefing materials and execute the one or two-day event. Provide technical assistance to the Readiness Directorate at Commander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF).- Provided technical assistance to Pacific and Atlantic Naval Air Forces Readiness Directorates. In conjunction with bi-monthly brief, conducted deep dive analysis of all Pacific Fleet squadron readiness degradations and provided analysis to Readiness Directorate lead in preparation for the brief.- Assisted with the development and implementation of Navy readiness policy as it related to Naval Aviation squadrons. Developed and successfully executed plan to include the Electronic Warfare capability area of the Defense Readiness Reporting System-Navy (DRRS-N) into the Navy Mission Essential Task List (NMETL) of all impacted aviation communities. Responsible for drafting and executing daily flight schedule based on the training requirements for 40 pilots and 20 enlisted aircrew while remaining within $800,000 annual flight hour budget.
