Larry Roberts is owner of KMTR Television, LLC, which owns three NBC-affiliated television stations in Oregon. His broadcast career spans five decades. In 1982 he founded Sunbrook Communications, which ultimately owned radio stations in Montana, Washington and Colorado. He sold the company in 1995 to publicly traded (NASDAQ) Fisher Communications, and became president of Fisher's Regional Radio Group, operating 24 radio stations in the northwestern United States. Larry retired from Fisher in 2011 to pastor a Free Methodist church in Boise, Idaho. He had served on the national board of that denomination for 17 years and as chairman of the board for the most recent nine years. After 17-months as pastor he was asked to become Chief Operating Officer of the denomination, which has over 1.5-million members worldwide. He retired from that role December 31, 2017.Larry remains involved in broadcasting as owner of KMTR, Eugene, KTCW, Roseburg, and KMCB, Coos Bay, Oregon, which he purchased in 2013. He also serves on the boards of four organizations including Seattle Pacific University, FM Financial, Central Christian College of Kansas, and Chicago's Olive Branch Mission. Larry and his wife, Sheryl, reside in Spokane, Washington. They have three children, 10 grandchildren and three great-grand-children.
